It will be nice if more people talk about poetry instead of politics.
It would, wouldn't it, although the two are by no means mutually exclusive. I think most people would rather watch CNN all day than read a poem, which is sad because poetry is always more pleasant than politics, to my mind. (Except for the last two books of Paradise Lost.)
I'd rather read too. It's always the same news - another tornado, another flood, another war, and another campaign trail. It's always the same tone like it's so urgent that everyone must care. But in the meantime, what about our soul?
